Zhou Xunshu overcame a slow start — bogeys on two of his first three holes — to finish with a 1-under 71 in the opening round of the RMB 1 million (US$146,681) Dell Championship Thursday at Orient Golf Club in Xiamen, the first event on the 2009 Omega China Tour. Zhou’s 71 puts him in a 10-way tie for 13th place, five strokes behind Xiamen native Wu Weihuang who scorched the course for a 6-under 66. Zhou tees off at noon on Friday in the second round.

厦门戴尔锦标赛周训书首轮表现出色

周训书在克服了开始时的一些不顺后—在前三洞中吞下两个柏忌—最后以71杆低于标准杆一杆的成绩结束了首轮的比赛，这场星期四开始在东方（厦门）高尔夫俱乐部举办的戴尔锦标赛是2009欧米茄中巡赛的首场赛事，总奖金为人民币一佰万元(约合美金146,681).周训书目前以71杆的成绩与另外九位选手并列第13位，五杆落后于厦门本土选手吴伟煌，吴伟煌今天打出了66杆低于标准杆六杆的极好成绩。星期五第二轮的比赛中，周训书将在中午开球。
